In about ~12 hours, the Pacific isles of Saipan and Tinian could endure one of their strongest storm strikes on record. Apoplectic Super Typhoon Sinlaku, now with winds of 155 MPH, has a chance to become just the 4th CAT 4+ system to directly impact these islands. She has double eyewalls rotating around the cylindrically vertical Stadium Effect of her 919 MBAR eye, and her outer rainbands have begun to lash the Northern Mariana chain. Landfall in Saipan, if it happens, will arrive after the sun sets tonight in local time.

Super Typhoon Sinlaku’s 185 MPH peak strength a few hours ago was very close to her Maximum Potential Intensity. In other words, Sinlaku generated the highest possible sustained wind speeds that a storm could theoretically produce over these specific water temperatures and atmospheric conditions in the West Pacific. Historically speaking, this is extremely rare, and similar to what we saw with Hurricane Melissa last year in the Caribbean Sea.

What we are seeing with Typhoon Sinlaku right now is one of the most extreme satellite presentations Earth is capable of constructing. Look at the absolute perfect symmetry of the storm’s convectively cryogenic core. You only see this with some of the planet’s most powerful cyclones, and it is reminiscent of Hurricane Melissa’s appearance last year. Just completely insane.

@Kristennetten I experience it both ways. I usually contact the person who occupies my thoughts or send a note to them. Sometimes the universe wakes me up and I will pray for who ever is on my heart and mind at that time. ✨ This happens sometimes often, for me anyway.

When I think about other people — they often reach out within hours or the next day. It’s very strange but happens often, if not weekly for me. It can be a person I hadn’t talked to in a decade to someone I haven’t spoke to in weeks. Anyone else experience this or am I just weird lol?
