@TomLackey36 With all due respect, Mr. Lackey, why would you support putting up so many barriers to accessing original birth certificates with your AB 1302 for these children who will have unrestricted access if they stay in the foster system? Makes NO sense! Please pull AB 1302.

@TomLackey36 No! There should be no pride here. Only shame. This bill effectively prohibits so many adoptees from ever gaining access to their original birth certificate. The private investigators who those people will turn to and who backed your bill will be who benefits. I am a CA adoptee

#AB1302 - As a father of 2 adopted children, I firmly believe adults should be able to obtain their original birth certificates to learn more about their health history. It’s long overdue that our state establishes & respects important adoptee rights.
