@Workinp36616120 @GaryLong1661 I’m not used to London, but from being on here, the tube looks incredibly dangerous for women travelling alone. I also see reports of people robbed whilst walking or on buses in London. As a young girl on her own, I reckon she’s very wise to try and stay safe.

@GaryLong1661 Why would anyone who is not elderly or disabled get a cab from Paddington to Grays Inn Road? I'd have got a bus or the tube to King's X or Farringdon or Holborn or Chancery Lane.

@LeadClearly1 @luxemiaa Had the same this week when I boarded a train and there was a man in my assigned seat. Didn’t think he should move as surely I could sit in his aisle seat. Well no mate, I booked the window seat because I wanted a window seat , jog on mister! Apparently I’m awkward!

This woman said: Just boarded my connecting flight home from Tokyo and guess what? Someone is sitting in my window seat 😂 I can’t make this stuff up… twice in one day! I told them they were sitting in my seat and they replied “can you sit over there because we’re all together?” I said “no”. They were taking too long to move so I motioned the flight attendant and she yelled “take your assigned seats so we can go!”. The man got up and moved across the aisle to his.......

Reflecting on my pituitary results I've made my mind up that if I can get a good ten more years being active and doing things - cerebrally especially - (like my mum) then I'll be happy. My grandmothers passed at 99 and 95 years, mum and dad at 93. Fingers crossed. I'll get over the Sun/Saturn conjunction tomorrow and that's another of life's hump backed bridges - so tumour gone, tooth gone, eye done and just my lower back and sciatica to sort then I can concentrate fully on brain things without extra diversions that have masked the most important thing - my mind. Thank you everyone for your words of love, encouragement and support.

Some people are asking why Jews have their own ambulances. Well, I’m guessing that seeing lots of Muslim doctors and nurses within the NHS saying that they wouldn’t treat a Jew and would want to cause them harm, has probably made them slightly wary of the medical attention they might receive.

@LairdOfThManor I've tried to report it for hacking your account via the 'Impersonation' route but this is the second account where I can't submit the report. I have no idea why accounts which Impersonate are now not allowed to be reported. @XEng @nikitabier @elonmusk What are you doing to @X!?

@charlymediero @fwtimini Absolutely. I stood outside the cinema and felt like I’d been ripped out of something moving and incredibly beautiful. I went and sat in our quiet cathedral for ages trying to reset myself.

Well the number of blokes who seem perfectly ok with Travelodge’s lack of safety policy and terrible response to that incident, and who want to tell a woman what she should and shouldn’t say/ do is disappointing but totally unsurprising. Interestingly, many of them have a 1/2

🚨Victory for Brownhills patriotism 🇬🇧 After months of community flags protesting on Tin Man Island (Jigger roundabout), Walsall Council has approved funding & installation of three permanent flag poles. A meeting this week will finalise positions, maintenance and upkeep. The British patriots didn’t back down, and now they get permanent flags put on the island. Well done Walsall patriots.

GM, I don’t know how your day is going but I just had this interaction with my youngest granddaughter: GD: papa, you smell old. Did you take a bath? Me: yes I did, I took a shower. GD: maybe you should take a bubble bath. That way you smell like a kid and can grow younger. I am now on my way to buy some bubble bath and reverse the effects of aging.

@MrJamesMay We called it ‘cat ham’. We bought it for our cats to hide medicine. Now the cats aren’t here, wouldn’t dream of buying or eating it.

A remarkable new study has found that simply sniffing rosemary could boost your memory by an astonishing 75 percent. Scientists discovered that the scent of this common herb helps the brain break down a compound called acetylcholine — a key chemical that supports learning, focus, and memory retention. Acetylcholine acts like a messenger in the brain, allowing nerve cells to communicate quickly and clearly. As we age or experience stress, levels of this chemical drop, often leading to forgetfulness or mental fog. But rosemary’s natural compounds — particularly cineole — have been shown to slow this breakdown, keeping brain signals sharp and steady. In controlled tests, participants exposed to rosemary aroma performed significantly better on memory tasks than those in unscented rooms. They remembered to complete tasks, followed instructions more accurately, and showed improved reaction times. The best part? This powerful brain boost doesn’t require pills, supplements, or hours of training. Just a few minutes of breathing in rosemary’s earthy scent — through essential oils, fresh herbs, or even rosemary-infused air sprays — could help your brain stay alert and focused. Researchers believe rosemary may offer a safe, natural way to enhance cognitive performance in students, professionals, and even older adults facing memory decline. One small sniff. One massive impact. Rosemary is no longer just a kitchen herb — it may be one of nature’s most effective tools for keeping the mind sharp.

Before coming to Dubrovnik, I deliberately didn’t read too much about the place, as I wanted to discover it for myself. I have to say, that so far, it has surpassed my hopes. It is absolutely stunning. The old town, with its million little back streets and are some of the most beautiful streets in the world.

Old town, Dubrovnik, Croatia. The beautiful wall lamps are everywhere in the streets here, together with the shutters on the windows and the laundry strung up to dry. I just love these streets and could wander here all day, noticing something different.
