Snowfall rates are finally letting up here in Omaha, but not before dropping some impressive snow. If you had told me yesterday we'd be waking up to 6" of snow, I wouldn't have believed you. Maybe just south of Omaha, but not on my driveway! Please be safe on the roads!

@lors03 I still expect to see some heavy storms overnight, they just may not reach what we consider to be severe (large hail, high winds). If you're okay with some heavy rain and lightning, go for it. Just be safe!

It's looking more likely we have two zones of severe weather to watch for on Friday. One in Iowa dropping into northern Missouri, another from northern Nebraska into northern Kansas. Yes... it does appear it is possible the greatest severe risks may largely bypass the metro.
