Nobody is attacking the fans. All that's happening is that whiny fans are attacking a director for adding an original story to the franchise with his own artistic vision instead of adapting stories that have been told too many times in the games into live action in a worse form.

look at this shit. I've read the script. no amount of redrafts can fix what is fundamentally broken. the only thing that could save it would be a complete rewrite from the ground up - not just 'un-millennial'ing the dialog
