I guess it really did happen then! I was Licensed as Lay Reader yesterday in the @LivDiocese to Christ Church Padgate. So grateful to the Lord for this calling and to all those who have supported and encouraged me along the way. Love you 💙

Back to work tomorrow. I can’t say ‘back to normal’ because ‘normal’ means making my dad a brew before I leave…and I cant accept that this isn’t the norm anymore. I’m praying for strength from God. If you’re the praying type, I’d appreciate your help with this. #Prayers #Praying

My husband died unexpectedly on Tues morning, likely a complication of his epilepsy. I had worked a night shift and our 4 y.o. found him after I got home. We have 4 kids, 12, 9, 9, and 4. I’m drowning. I’m broken. He was the centre of our family, and my heart. We’re just so lost.

I am overwhelmed with this beautiful ring, containing my Dad’s ashes. He is always with me in spirit and now I have a wonderful physical symbol of that. My dear dad & best friend is with the Lord. Living in me heart forever and always 🤍🕊️ #Dad #RestInPeace #Grief #ThankyouGod

I’ve done ‘normal’ stuff today for the first time in 4 weeks, I’ve been building back into routine. I feel so guilty, as though I’m moving forward without #dad, and like it’s okay that he’s not here…but it isn’t. Yet, I know he’d want me to carry on. #Grief is so weird 😭💔

I’ve been to see my dad in the chapel of rest today. He looks so rested and peaceful but he is already gone - his soul is already with the Lord, and I am so relieved. Yet this pain of grief is unlike any other pain I’ve ever felt and I have no idea what to do with it 😢🤍🪽

#Grief is so weird. One minute I’m praying and thanking the #God that my #Dad was MY dad and for his wonderful long life. The next I am so angry that dad went so suddenly, that God took him when he had so much more he wanted to do. It’s so hard. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

I have never been more tempted to get a tattoo than I am right now. There's a lot of utter crap on Anglican Twitter today, pardon my French.

Was really sad that he’d never write ‘dad’ again at the end of a card or letter to me and I’d never see it again. Now I can see it every single day 💜

My Dad has gone to be with the Lord. He is at peace. I feel like my heart is broken into millions of pieces but each piece holds love and happy memories. Life has changed forever. I’m so grateful he was my Dad. May he rest peacefully now, loved forever 💙💙💙💙💙 #dad
