@maosbot I agree those things didn't turn out the way we hoped. But I'm honestly not sure what we could have done differently? It's hard to imagine any messaging where the obstinate and contrary wouldn't double down. Even the more reasonable mainstream seems to prefer a rosy picture.

@amandalhu i do a bit on how if gov acted then like theyve done w/ sarscov2, they would go from: "no need to wear a seatbelt" to "dont wear one because racecar drivers need them" to "make your own seatbelt" to professionally made seatbelts are very difficult to wear" to "wash your hands".

Here’s another question: were the people in charge of developing and communicating public health policy ever the ones telling the public they didn’t need use seatbelts or bike helmets or life jackets? Or is that new?

@SweetBCBoi @RealBCThinkTank @FourWinns298 @GovCanHealth I meant Novavax has a finite number of people, and it was economically advantageous for them to submit to FDA first. At a minimum, I don't see what harm there would be in Health Canada getting a carbon copy of that submission at the same time. Then they could start reviewing.

It takes (approximately) the same amount of time to review each application, (unless the application is incomplete or vague and they need to request more info).

Genuinely curious if there's any data Health Canada requires that the FDA does not? In my mind, they're not doing Canada-specific studies/analysis. But maybe I'm missing something.
