@CraigHope_DM Hopkinson is acting like a sound-bite politician rather than the leader of a world class football club. Anyone looking to for success should study how Alex Ferguson achieved it at Man U. “When I arrived I realised I didn’t just need to rebuild a team I had to rebuild a club”.

@Laura_Hibbert34 Farage hasn’t got any policies, just negative sound-bites. If he has all the answers why doesn’t he share them with everyone now ? For example, how does he propose to “smash the gangs” which operate on foreign territory ?

Farage was on fire in Sunderland tonight. His speech was broadcast to the Nation. He had more edge than normal, but his delivery was excellent. He is taking on & defeating the whole political establishment. Reform are Rampant & Nigel is the cornerstone of the entire movement.

@loughnane_billy -What instruction did the vet give, as if they said the horse wasn’t fit to race that’s different from saying you should dismount and lead the horse back to the stables. And if the you had to dismount shouldn’t the vet have called for the horse ambulance?

@AtTheRaces It depends what instruction the vet gave, as if they said the horse wasn’t fit to race that’s different from saying the jockey should dismount and lead the horse back to the stables. And if the jockey needed to dismount shouldn’t the vet have called for the horse ambulance ?

One of the worst takes I’ve seen on here I like tonali he’s a good player but describing him as most all round and complete footballer we have is just a lie… Bruno is 100X the player he is and always has been #nufc
Geordie Josh@geordiejosh

By the way, for anyone interested, Sandro Tonali is the most all-round/complete footballer I’ve seen play for my football club, don’t let anyone tell you he’s shit. 👍 He’s had a poor season for us in terms of performance obviously due to him leaving. Why the false rep?

@SophyRidgeSky It sounds like Healey’s deliberately obfuscating in an attempt to justify the UK joining America and Israel’s illegal war against Iran, by giving the false impression that the UK is within range of Iranian missiles, when in fact Iran has no such capability.

Worth reading my exchange with Defence Secretary John Healey about whether Iran has the capability to strike London SR: Israel has said Iran has missiles that could strike London. Is that true? JH: We have no assessment of Iranian plans to strike London. We have a defence of Britain that isn't just about what we have for ourselves in and around Britain. Our defence of Britain is part of the layers of defence of NATO nations... SR: I don't understand what that means, that you 'don't have an assessment'. Does that mean you don't have an assessment at all so we don't know? Or does that mean that your assessments don't suggest that? JH: I understand the concerns that British people will have, but we have the resources and we have the alliances in place to be able to protect Britain. And we do that not just because we've got first class forces, but we have an alliance with 31 other NATO nations, and it's together that we defend NATO and British airspace, NATO and British homeland. SR: Do we know if Iran has the capability to strike London? JH: Look, what I'm saying, and trying to reassure people, is that we've got no assessment that Iran has any plans to attack, but we have the resources, we have the alliance in place to be able to defend Britain and we do that with allies, and we do that with NATO. And as far as Iran goes, they're demonstrating a capacity to hit across the Middle East. We see the same tactics and technologies that we see employed by Russia in Ukraine and this is the hidden hand of Putin in both conflicts. And I'm releasing today our latest defence intelligence assessment, which says that Russia was almost certainly providing training, sharing intelligence with Iran ahead of this conflict, including on types of drones, including on electronic warfare.

@SkySports_Keith @ChrisHa57913939 If he wasn’t ready to play for the club that saved his career on Sunday, then his manager should’ve formally instructed him that he wasn’t ready to play for anyone else 4 days later. Ryan Giggs knows how it works when Fergie frequently told him he wasn’t fit to play for Wales.

Lenny Henry wants Britain to cough up £18 trillion in reparations because 'all black British people personally deserve money for the effects of slavery.' Funny how he skips the part where Britain was the first major power to ban the slave trade in 1807, then sent the Royal Navy's West Africa Squadron to patrol the coast for decades. They seized 1,600 slave ships and freed 150,000 Africans .. at the cost of British sailors' lives and huge expense. Britain didn't just stop its own involvement; it actively fought to end the trade globally. Meanwhile, in Africa today (per the Global Slavery Index), countries like Eritrea, Mauritania, South Sudan, Nigeria and others still have some of the world's highest rates of modern slavery .. forced labour, child soldiers, hereditary servitude, trafficking. Millions trapped right now. And Lenny's own roots? Jamaica (his parents' homeland). It still has notable modern slavery issues too, including forced labour and exploitation. So... demanding trillions from British taxpayers (including black Brits) for 200-year-old history, while African and Caribbean nations haven't fully confronted slavery's continuation on their own soil? That's not justice. That's selective outrage and hypocrisy. Focus on ending slavery today everywhere .. not guilt-tripping one country that helped stop it yesterday.

Billy Loughnane was handed a 21-day ban for improper riding after the stewards ruled he acted against the instructions of the vet at Southwell on Thursday evening. David Loughnane’s Beelzebub, received a kick and was subsequently withdrawn by the vets having been deemed to be lame. He then proceeded to ride the six-year-old back from the start. Not very good from young Billy, and a big lesson learnt here for the young man!

Britain should not pay reparations. We abstained from voting against paying reparations for the transatlantic slave trade in yet another egregious example of this Labour Government’s desperate attempt to curry favour. The transatlantic slave trade was a deplorable and horrific period of history, but it was just that, history. I vehemently disagree with these calls. If we are to be held to account by the UN, so too should those tribes who participated in capturing and selling their enemies and rivals into slavery in exchange for trade, wealth and weapons.

Why do our broadcasters cover live these rambling incoherent BS Trump meetings with his sycophants? They are propaganda not news. If they are to be shown live there should be real time rebuttal of the lies. And perhaps the occasional pointing out of the many many promises made at previous such meetings or deals, agreements, resolutions which never materialised. Just as Trump is played by Putin so the media are played by Trump.
