@AaronErickson @clairevo Running sequences is standard regardless of level, but the quality of the sequence depends on how lazy you are / how much you outsource to AI

@clairevo Is this even executive recruiting? Like the search for a C-level is going to run on a fucking sequence? I get these sometimes, and they are almost always crap agency spray and prays, not real exec recruiters on retainer.

@clairevo Selfishly, while I hate this for you, I love that taking down lazy recruiters has become a side quest; they ruin our industry. Signed, a recruiter who describes herself as a professional creep 😬

Amy Miller - Recruiting In Yoga Pants
This is TOTALLY FINE by the way according to LinkedIn. Nothing to see here. Threatening someone METAPHORICALLY OF COURSE is completely normal and not at all unhinged behavior. 🥱

Been teaching AI class Thursday nights. 22 people who I match by experience level. The use cases I'm capturing are *insane*. So diverse. Come to class sometime; it's the best.

We automated 80% of recruiting at @AudaciousHQ and I'm hosting a workshop mid-April to show you exactly how. Here's what our system does right now: 1. Every candidate we meet gets matched against every open role in our portfolio. Automatically. No spreadsheets. No "let me think about who this might be good for." 2. Personalized outreach goes out warm without anyone writing a single message. We have detailed notes on 5K+ engineers and sales leaders. Their background, what they care about, what they're looking for next. We know their dog's name. 3. Within 30 seconds of ending a call, the candidate is tagged in our ATS, notes are uploaded, and a write-up is drafted. 4. And we built a recall system you can talk to. Describe the person you need: "senior engineer, distributed systems, wants to go early stage, based in SF". It pulls the best matches from our entire database instantly. We went from drowning in admin to spending all of our time on the only thing that actually matters: building real relationships with people. Comment below if you want the details. cc: @jatingargiitk the master mind!

1000+ people have hit me up since we've announced our talent network on Monday. Sure there are some job seekers, but there were a lot of people who are happy with their current role and are just curious about what’s out there. Engineers. Designers. Growth/GTM operators. The kind of people who don't have their resume on a job board because they've never needed to. I have thousands of startups in my network hiring, but they can’t find you unless I know you first. You can find the link in the comments if you are curious.

Hello: I'm looking for someone with nationwide expertise on the subject of affordable housing—for example, someone who would know about communities and cities where it's most needed. Know of anybody like that? Thanks. Please RT.

My hot take of the day is that a Lambda School for electricians, CNC machinists, and other advanced manufacturing roles would do very well for the next 20+ years. Maybe longer.

I have 3 people close to me who suffer from bipolar disorder. One of them (a team member) tragically took his own life. He was an extremely talented and normally quiet young man, trained as an accountant. His symptoms in manic episodes were consistent with Ye’s. He would go on public anti-Semitic and racist rants on social media. He would always emerge from these episodes with deep shame. Apologising to me, his friends, family and our team for his behaviour. There was not a bad bone in his body. One time I had to hunt him down in London in-person in the middle of the night to try to help save his life. Anti-semitism is abhorrent and unacceptable. But mental illness is extremely complex and if we don’t have a path for treating and helping people with disorders like bipolar - unfortunately will we have many more people take their own lives. The UK govt should let Ye into the UK or it sends a very negative message to millions of people who suffer from similar conditions. Rest in peace Alex - I know you have finally found the peace you were looking and I’m sorry the world could not provide it to you. ❤️

As a result of the Home Office banning YE from entering the United Kingdom, Wireless Festival has been forced to cancel. All ticket holders will recieve an automatic full refund.

Anyone with the faintest understanding of mental health (and capitalism!) knows his sneeze of an “apology” was to create a permission structure for people who don’t like being reminded that the shame they feel for supporting a sexual predator and nazi is warranted. But, hey, who cares about victims and proven strategies for helping people recover from mental health issues — we’ve got a concert to get to!

@alexfmac @loveLFM If he had said these things during a manic episode its unlikely that he would also have found the time to write, record and produce an entire song with a music video before the realisation sunk in. It took 3 years for an apology, so I'm pretty skeptical this was just an episode
