English

never heard of this person before today, i was just chillin in soloq playing some nami (its master+ so i am not even duoq), didnt type a single word all game, then randomly as they're ending the game, seraphine says this. i kinda brushed it off cos i assumed its just some incel guy but then they link their twitter and they are also a woman..? its just a bit cringe because i am pretty used to being called a kitten and an egirl etc in a really belittling way online simply for existing and playing league, but when it comes from another girl WHO IS ALSO PLAYING SUPPORT(?) just feels very "pick-me". maybe im overreacting but its so unnecessary imo

English

Kimchi has been found to fine-tune immunity at the cellular level.
In a groundbreaking human clinical trial, researchers employed cutting-edge single-cell genetic analysis to explore kimchi's impact on the immune system. Over 12 weeks, overweight adults received either a placebo or powder from two varieties of kimchi. The findings show that kimchi not only enhances immune defenses but also promotes their regulation.
Scientists from the World Institute of Kimchi observed that participants consuming kimchi exhibited heightened activity in antigen-presenting cells (APCs), which play a key role in identifying pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. Simultaneously, CD4+ T cells developed a more balanced profile, incorporating both effector cells for fighting threats and regulatory cells to prevent overreactions. This dual effect equips the immune system to mount effective responses while avoiding harmful inflammation.
The trial utilized single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), a precise technique that examines gene expression in individual immune cells, uncovering nuanced changes undetectable by standard blood tests.
Fermentation method influenced outcomes: both spontaneous and starter-culture kimchi yielded benefits, but the starter version demonstrated superior effects, including enhanced antigen detection and reduced extraneous immune signaling.
This represents the world's first clinical demonstration of kimchi's immunomodulatory action at the genetic level, highlighting its promise for managing hyperactive immune conditions.

@Knightw0lf_ @mwstateofmind @PythoiiTwitch @SoveyX @RonColeman @grok The difference here is “close” to War and military war that actually happened. Do you forget the Korean War is the key conflict which propelled to US and Soviets into the actual Cold War?
English

@lovepucy @mwstateofmind @PythoiiTwitch @SoveyX @RonColeman I would sat because of software glitches and user error. U.s. and ussr was closer to war then north and south korea at a few times
@grok explain what happened the few error times of Coldwar and how close we where

You’re asking what I’ve lived through?
Cute.
I grew up in Korea, which you call “South Korea” because you’ve never left your mom’s basement in Cleveland, but should’ve learned by the fifth grade.
It is a country with a hostile regime 30 miles north that can hit my hometown with artillery. Not symbolic range. Real range. That’s the distance between Dallas and Fort Worth.
I have been aware of this and fearful of it since I was conscious.
Did you live in fear of Vancouver or Toronto hitting you with a maple syrup bomb?
I could drive to the artillery pointed at my city in under thirty minutes.
My grandparents lived through the Korean War.
Cities flattened.
Families split permanently.
I am free today because the American military intervened.
My father and grandfather are veterans.
I support American veteran charities, and there’s a reason it’s one of the few words in my bio.
I do not take that lightly. If they had not, my family would be living under a regime that enslaves its own people.
The people north of that border are genetically identical to me. Same ancestry. On average, they are shorter and lighter because a dictatorship rationed calories and crushed an entire population for generations.
That is not rhetoric. That is measurable.
I am an American, and I love Americans.
I am deeply grateful to this country. But do not confuse gratitude with ignorance.
You read about communism in a classroom. I grew up within artillery range of it.
If you have never lived with that proximity to tyranny, do not lecture me about what it feels like.
Respectfully, shut your ignorant mouth.

@mwstateofmind @PythoiiTwitch @SoveyX @RonColeman A bit of a difference - Soviets sending missiles to a country with a land mass 90% greater and unless you’re in key cities there’s less of a chance you will be targeted. Whereas 50% of the population resides in Seoul and its outer districts 30 miles from the border 🤷♀️
English

@PythoiiTwitch @SoveyX @RonColeman This could apply to any country, including USA, when I was a kid we were constantly warned about the Soviets sending missiles but I managed to lead a normal life. Doesn't seem that the land of kpop is especially worried about it

@james_fost21071 @nocontextmemes Of course a Brit doesn’t know that dental hygienists make more than minimum wage. That would’ve required you to be at a dentist’s office once in your life.
The joke’s fucking write themselves.
