New York is such a funny city because it’s currently the single safest major city in America on a per capita basis and literally everyone pretends it’s violent for political reasons

Mbappé casually riding an e-scooter over the Brooklyn Bridge and not a single person with a camera in sight. always cool to see how relatively anonymous international football stars can be when in the US. [via instagram.com/p/DWj6Y6UAqYv/]

Good public transport is far more convenient than driving

Stop consuming RED PILL contents‼️⚠️💯

Me too.

I ride the subway every single day. I only take a car to the airport or if public transit isn’t feasible. I’ve ridden the subway at all hours. I’m not scared of getting attacked or assaulted any more than I am as a woman living in this world in any place.

@vonsayne @cspan @SecDuffy I traveled around solo as a 8 year old (even so I shouldn't) in the NYCT Subway when Mayor Giuliani and Mayor Bloomberg, as well as Governor Pataki kept the city safe, now I as a 32 year old adult fear the Subway after a certain time. Wild how time has changed for the worse.

Transportation is a public good — and it should be funded and run like one. The question isn’t whether government should be involved in how people move; it always has been. The question is whose interests that investment serves. nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/03/13/cla…
