@lowdenhere I always like to ask “tell me what you HEARD” after students had a discussion in a small group or partnerships. This way they’re sharing ideas that aren’t theirs & that they don’t feel an attachment to. I usually see that more hands go up to share

Today in class, instead of asking for students to volunteer, I asked them either to give permission to someone else to share their idea, or to empower someone to share their own idea. I loved hearing students say, “I was empowered to share…” #educhat #educoach
