@Lachlan_Wall01 @antiAntiperson You're probably thinking of the R3 first stage that was on display at William Creek. The UK recovered the R2 and R3 first stages back in 2020. R0 was terminated mid-flight and doesn't exist anymore, but R1 did crash down in the outback. I don't know what they did with it.

Project Hail Mary was very good! Reading the book first did not take away from the experience in the slightest, it completely enhanced my enjoyment! 10/10 #ProjectHailMary

Skyrora has announced plans to buy what remains of Orbex. Press release: Skyrora confirms it intends to explore the purchase of select Orbex assets, including the Sutherland Spaceport, following yesterday’s announcement that the company has appointed administrators. This safeguards the product of the taxpayer funds historically injected into Orbex. Launch will not only unlock commercial activity for companies that need to access space and help achieve the government’s objectives for becoming a global player in the space sector, but it is also a strategic defence consideration. As the only UK company with a domestic launch license and both manufacturing and testing capabilities, Skyrora is best placed to take over Orbex’s assets and is proud to be leading launch activity from the UK.”

1) Re the Orbex situation. I hate to say it but years ago I called the @GOVUK and @scotgov, as well as @spacegovuk for supporting Orbex over @Skyrora_Ltd when it should have been equally footing. They are as much to blame as anyone for this happening.
