After 17 events at SMAC championships, the girls finished with 35 points and 9th over all!!

🚨New School Record Alert🚨 Day 1 of the 2024 SMAC Championships, Junior Bryannah Smith broke her own school record in the 200m prelims!! She lowered her record from 25.81 to 25.34 ‼️🔥

We also had qualifiers for the 100m dash, 110 hurdle finals, and 200m finals: Congrats to Bryannah Smith and Kimaya Jones- girls 100m dash finals! Congrats to Desaun Jeffery and Peyton Harley- 110mh finals! Congrats to Bryannah on also making the 200m finals- PR of 25.34!!

We had 3 boys make it to the long jump finals- Joshua Tidwell, Michel Lepre-Arias, and Jaycob Tidwell!! Josh- new PR of 20-6 (9th) Michel- new PR of 22-2 (🥈) Jaycob- new PR of 22-4 (🥇)

Congrats to Cameron Harrold and Austin Ashley for both placing in boys high jump!! Austin’s 5-10 is a new PR and he secured 5th!! Cameron Harold placed 3rd and tied his PR of 5-10 🥉‼️

In the field events: Congrats to Fr. and first-time thrower Zackyra Washington for not only making finals but also placing 5th in girls discus!! She matched her PR of 89-10‼️

Congrats to the boys 4x200m team of Bryce Hawkins, Michel Lepre-Arias, Jaycob Tidwell, and Caleb Smith on their 2nd place finish last night!! 🥈 This new combination of runners was able to run right under 1:30 with their time of 1:29.76!!
