At deposition this week, Chicago State University said its position that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was its former student was based on the assumption that Bola A. Tinubu's transcripts belonged to Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The school said it found no passport, social security card, driver’s licence or other forms of photo ID on record to match the former student’s face with the Nigerian leader’s.

In the Enugu State Election petition tribunal, it was established by Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party that Gov. Peter Mbah had forged the NYSC certificate that he submitted to INEC. NYSC also testified on oath that the certificate being paraded by Mr. Mbah does not originate from them. What did the tribunal finally rule? That NYSC and Chijioke failed to prove forgery because they couldn't produce the original of the alleged forged document. How can NYSC produce the original of a document they didn't produce in the first place, something that doesn't exist at all? I wont want to dwell on the other limb where they said that NYSC certificate is not a qualifying requirement, hence anyone can submit a forged NYSC document.
