@RequiemLestat33 @nico_rjinders Why are you getting so angry? It's not normal.
English

@nico_rjinders @lrchandley Yes. It was quite literally HIS jokes you cunting mouth breather. To be expected from an Acaster cock socket.
English

@_UhhDylan For sure! I actually said that too, I'd rather it have gone right but it's such a unique experience to go to.
English

@lrchandley the parts that actually did go to plan were amazing so i won't be skipping the opportunity to see him again next time it comes up. if anything, at least i got a unique experience for my first time lmao
English

@_UhhDylan Ah I'm sorry it didn't go to plan your first time, but one thing I'll say is each tour show I've been to has been well worth it, so maybe try and go to the next one. It was still fun, you're right. Just a shame. And exactly, I'll never look at a popadom the same way 😂
English

@lrchandley i've been wanting to see james for years and it was an amazing set. don't regret going by any means but it's a shame it was spoiled by such a raging prick. i'll never hear "poppadoms or bread" the same way again
English

@RequiemLestat33 @nico_rjinders Best will in the world, the poster didn't say that. He said he wouldn't be a stand up if it wasn't for the Office. Gervais - if I'm right in remembering - performed tour material after the Office (& maybe Extras) became popular. He didn't work his way up on the stand up circuit.
English

@nico_rjinders @lrchandley This has to be one of the dumbest arguments I have ever heard. Gervais got famous from The Office? You know he wrote it, right? So how is he a shite comedian when his comedy made him famous?
English

@Paul_2781 As a two hour event, it was still super funny, but the fact that it wasn't the show itself, how it is intended, is sad. Probably sadder for him.
English

@lrchandley No idea what happened obviously but sorry to hear it impacted the show, I'd say this tour is probably the best thing James has ever done
English

@lrchandley @RequiemLestat33 Hes a snivvling gay retard that looks trans
English

@sistanley @itcouldbeaimee Much more eloquently put than I could ever do 😂
English

@itcouldbeaimee @lrchandley This tour isn’t like that tour (Cold Lasagne I’m guessing because he had a heckler that made him walk off at the Birmingham show).
Can’t say why because it ruins the new show, but there isn’t a reason it’d be heckled on purpose for comedic effect.
English

@robenramsay Yeah, it really did. In a twisted way, it was a really interesting experience to be at but in reality I wish we could have seen the show proper, and he could have performed it proper.
English

@lrchandley I feel he reacted to it quite well but you can see it really affected his ability to carry on with the show he wanted to do, which is a shame as it was still good!
English

@RequiemLestat33 Ricky Gervais hasn't really been funny in 20 years, IMO. Acaster is better, but that's opinions for you. Maybe what you call 'pandering' is just someone having a different opinion than you, and you can't handle it.
English

@lrchandley Nope. He was, is and forever will be a pandering cunt. Ever since he called Ricky Gervais, "Poor little cis white boy." Forgetting the fact that Acaster is also white, you just don't insult someone infinitely funnier at the craft than you. What a fucking tool.
English

@lrchandley imagine paying to see James Acaster and deciding you’re the main character 😭
English

@itcouldbeaimee Fair enough if this has happened before but there's no way this was staged. He stopped almost every 10 minutes to explain the next joke isn't going to work b/c it happened so long ago in the show that the callback won't be remembered. The show was narrative too, not in 'bits'.
English

@lrchandley It’s staged, he’s done it in a few venues over the years. I do still love him though. The one I went to he made some of the big about the heckler and ‘sped’ through his normal material second half to find out he did the same thing in Shetland. Then did a tour hecklers welcome
English

@lrchandley James Acaster May may be a lot of things but he’s not an arsehole
English

@acastersugar @sorrysorrel He clearly didn't understand Acaster as a comic, which in itself isn't a crime. Just keep your mouth shut or leave if it isn't what you wanted. Instead he was a massive arse.
English

@acastersugar @sorrysorrel Honestly, no not really. He was rummaging about a bit in his seat & that, but actually everything he said he said out load at James. Total tosser, but his attitude to the support was bad too - when the interlude happened he was saying '"a comedy genius" and that's the support?'
English

@lrchandley Yep, took my daughter last night for her first ever comedy gig - she loves Acaster, even more so now. “Will” was an absolute bell end, and you could see how much it affected James. L He was, as ever, absolutely hilarious, though - so funny (and clever 😉)….
English

@lrchandley Is he still doing his 'Hecklers Welcome' show? I did wonder how long before that approach would get tested to breaking point
