The summer plan is pretty obvious to me. It’s not worth it to have this constant discussion about PL minutes and other leagues. If that is the reality, then PL need more top level players in their team and pitch them less volume of minutes per player.
1. Replace Trossard for a WC LW
2. If this requires Martinelli to be sold, then replace for a high potential winger
3. Get a competitive DM/CM that will play equal minutes to Rice and Zubi
4. Move MLS to midfield
5. Sign one more defender, depending on how we treat Cala/Hincapie. Could be a CCB alternative or a LB
6. Sell Jesus and either replace in squad with Dowman or a young high potential CF with very different qualities to Gyok and Havertz
7. Review the White situation and see if we replace him
Since it’s a WC year, we need a large squad. Push decisions like CAM (Ode, Eze, Merino, Nwaneri, Dowman) to 2027.

I'm worn out already to complain about the performance.
I'll just talk about the bright sides.
1. Saka is back, which is a big boost.
2. Ødegaard led in xA (0.2) and chances created (3) while also having 6 recoveries, 2 tackle and 2 duels.
3. Hincapié, Mr. Reliable at this point. Phenomenal defensive stalwart.
4. Zubimendi, his best two-way performance in a while. Both OOP and IP. Was everywhere.
We got the win, I'm not gonna talk about our lack of attacking anything from the 4th till 90th minute or the injuries because I'm tired. I don't have the strength to be negative anymore, so I'm gonna focus on the positives.

1. Anyone bashing Saka to defend Gyökeres is stupid. Anyone bashing Gyökeres to defend Saka is stupid. Saka has been better than the fanbase thinks this season, but his finishing has been bad. Gyökeres started out rough but has been delivering in 2026 in his finishing. Saka is comfortably our best attacker.
2. Arsenal have won 1.5 points per game in 9 EPL games without Gyökeres as the starting striker. In the other 24 EPL games he has started in, we've averaged 2.3 points. The notion that he is detrimental to us winning in or we are winning 'despite him' is fantastic fiction.
3. In the EPL, Gyökeres has more goals (12) than Saka has goals + assists (6+3 = 9) and Gyökeres has played less minutes (1996 minutes for Gyökeres, 2001 minutes for Saka).
And this is in the Premier League, his worst competition this season (he averages a better G/A per 90 ratio in other cups vs in the EPL).

I have never seen majority of Arsenal fans be so much emotionally invested in a player like they are doing with Viktor Gyokeres to the extent that, they bash Saka by saying, he’s selfish and to the extent of criticizing the manager’s tactics. Gyokeres looks like a championship striker in an EPL title chasing team, no goals against the top 9 sides in the league, 9 non penalty goals in over 3000 minutes of EPL football, movement and first touch is average at best. Simply put Gyokeres is an average striker not the so called gunman!
