Congratulations to our colleagues at @PLinCzechia on Constitution Day, May 3! The 1791 Constitution—the first in Europe and second worldwide—remains a landmark of the Enlightenment and a cornerstone of Polish and Lithuanian identity. Happy National Day, Poland!

Today 🇱🇹 marks 22 years in the #EU 🇪🇺. This milestone has been a defining part of 🇱🇹's modern history, contributing to stronger national security & sustained economic growth. As a success story of EU integration, we reaffirm our strong support for 🇺🇦's path towards EU membership.

Congratulations also to the Czech Republic, which joined the EU on the same day as Lithuania. Our shared membership in the EU & NATO has propelled bilateral relations to unseen heights, strengthening coop., trust, & our common commitment to a secure and prosperous Europe. 🇱🇹🇨🇿

Symbolicky 40 let po prvních ☢️ deštích jsme v Praze uspořádali konferenci “The Čarnobyl/Čornobil Shadow 40 Years Later: Securing the Future of Belarus and Ukraine”. Nešlo jen o historii, ale o akutní hrozby: rakety Orešnik v #Bělorusko, rizika v Astrvaci a ruskou okupaci Záporožské elektrárny. Úvodní slovo pronesli ředitelka @Kryscina_S, 🇱🇹 velvyslanec @RKacinskas a Petr Kroužek z @mzvcr. Následnou debatu se S.Navumčykem, O.Košarnou, @franakviacorka, @gabriela_sva a K.Vršanskou moderoval @MaciejRuczaj. Následoval expertní briefing s @osbbelpol a KSSI k jaderné bezpečnosti v Bělorusku. Závěr patřil @sieviaryniec, který připomněl morální rozměr boje za jadernou bezpečnost a svobodu. Děkujeme našim partnerům za podporu této zásadní akce.

Fitch upgrades #Lithuania to A+ — a major vote of confidence in resilient growth 🇱🇹. Despite geopolitical tensions and Middle East spillovers, the economy is set to grow 3.1% this year. Strength in uncertain times.

A memorial plaque in #Prague’s Old Town Sq. honoring František Skorina highlights centuries-old Czech–Lithuanian ties. In early 16th.c. Prague, the Belarusian Skorina refined printing & later introduced it to Vilnius, becoming the 1st publisher in the Grand Duchy of #Lithuania.

🇱🇹 Defence Minister @robertas_kaunas met with 🇨🇿 Czech Defence Minister Jaromír Zůna. ✅ They discussed regional security, NATO air defence, support for 🇺🇦 & closer cooperation, including radar capabilities. 🇱🇹 thanked 🇨🇿 for its strong contribution to NATO’s eastern flank.

Another high-level meeting this year highlighting the strong ties between #Lithuania and the #Czech Republic!

A monograph by Montvilaitė was presented today at the Lithuanian Embassy, comparing Ričardas Gavelis and Milan Kundera as a bridge between #Lithuanian and #Czech literature. Both authors strongly shaped my thinking in my youth, as I believe they did for many Lithuanian students.

Emphasised this today at a joint #tourism promotion event organised by Embassies of #Lithuania 🇱🇹 and #Latvia 🇱🇻 in cooperation with Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies of the #CzechRepublic 🇨🇿- with ~50 Czech travel professionals, journalists, and experts. 2/2

🇱🇹🇨🇿 Had a good exchange with Czech FM Petr Macinka in the sidelines of #FAC in Luxembourg. We discussed regional security, stronger sanctions on Russia, and #EU geo‑economic resilience. We thank the Czech Republic for leading the ammunition initiative for #Ukraine - 🇱🇹 contributed an additional €33M.

The final item on the minister’s program in Luxembourg was a meeting with his Lithuanian counterpart, Kęstutis Budrys. He invited him to visit Lithuania. The discussion also focused on the upcoming NATO summit and the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. 🇨🇿🇱🇹

Millions in Europe in the 20th century suffered under totalitarian regimes, including Estonia, which endured successive occupations with thousands deported and repressed. Remembering the victims is our shared responsibility. Estonia will contribute €50,000 to the Pan-European Memorial for the Victims of Totalitarianism in Brussels, as I announced today to my Lithuanian colleague @BudrysKestutis.

It was interesting to hear the #V4 countries’ experiences in preserving national historical memory. Historical memory will be among priorities of #Lithuania’s EU Council Presidency. This agenda is key in strengthening shared understanding, historical awareness, & resilience 🇪🇺.

Exciting news for travelers! ✈️ Wizz Air is launching direct flights between #Vilnius and #Prague this autumn, starting Sept 5. The service will operate three times a week year-round—an exciting addition alongside AirBaltic’s existing seasonal route connecting the two cities.

In a joint statement, 🇪🇪, 🇱🇻 and 🇱🇹 Foreign Ministers reject RU disinformation: Baltic States never granted their territories and airspace for attacks against RU. Kremlin must end its war of aggression against 🇺🇦. We remain in solidarity with 🇺🇦 that continues to defend itself.
