Great immersive audio in videogames comes down to the small details. We expanded our @Roblox AI audio skills to character audio. (Sound on) In this video, it created never-repeating footsteps that match the surface your character is walking on. The agent searches the Roblox sound catalog, selects and layers surface-specific footstep samples, then alters each step with subtle pitch shifting and jitter across all surfaces: sand, grass, asphalt, marble, and wood. The result: a more convincing audio world for your game. In previous posts we showed it build the scene's environmental audio (wind, street noise, birds), then the music soundtrack, and now character audio. Still a prototype, much more to go.
