For those who might doubt Jérémy Doku’s statistically significant improvement. He will probably break his personal g/a record this season. He is currently on 17 (4 goals / 13 assists in all competitions), and he finished the 2023/24 campaign with 18 g/a. With 6 to 7 games potentially remaining if they qualify in the FA Cup, he could even push to reach 20 goal contributions this season. Not bad for a player who supposedly “doesn’t put up numbers.” This season, he already has better stats than Bukayo Saka, Bryan Mbeumo, Estêvão, Rafael Leão, Cody Gakpo, Nico Williams, Noni Madueke, Ademola Lookman, Amad Diallo and many other wingers who are simply not as good as him. The statistical argument alone isn’t enough, Doku is definitely a top 5–6 winger in the world.
