Excited to finally be able to share some of my designs for Marathon! Starting with some visdev for Vulcan. Definitely one of my favorites to have worked on! If you played the Alpha, then some of this should be pretty familiar.

@lucastw Native blender for retop, retop edit mode, face snapping, then just go ham, in terms of speed and flexibility its the fastest for game ready meshes, only thing i would do different is organic meshes like bodys, id just wrap existing geo and then tidy it up to save time.

This is just not true. I started 3d modeling and texturing at 31 and got my first job in the industry at 32. I treated that first year as if 3d modeling was my job and worked 7 hour days, 5days a week. I believe you just need to give it your all. Believe failure isn’t an option.

I taught kids 3d for years, two different unis. Was crushing to see how 99% of them didn't realize they were already too late. Like if you're a Junior and you haven't been grinding 3d reps the whole time, you prob can't catch up. Your competition has been no-life-ing it since 15.

For 3D students: Most I’ve met simply aren’t doing the hours needed to get into the industry. Studying only 10:00-16:00 every day won’t cut it - particularly since only a portion of the day is spent on actual work.
