Golf needs a show, whether traditional or new age like YouTube, where the hosts/analysts have vastly different viewpoints. First take or Around the Horn style. Every show or podcast is just two buddies agreeing with each other.

I think there's an argument to be made that Bryson DeChambeau is having the best driving season in the history of the sport. The numbers are staggering.

Got a few nibbles with “triple birdie”. It proves just how dumb the term “double eagle” is!

Throwback to Louis Oosthuizen’s albatross (triple birdie) on the second hole at Augusta in 2012. It’s such a shame he won’t be at the Masters this year for just the second time in 15 years.

LIV Golf should immediately release the contract lengths of all the players. We don’t need all the details, but the deadlines are very important and add an enormous amount of context to the league. There are some big name players who are up for renewal this year, not all of them, but the speculation is going to lead to a lot of misinformation and false narratives. It’s better to get ahead of it as player contract negotiations are a massive storyline in all team sports.

I wonder who botched this HUGE announcement, @JoePompliano or @livgolf_league ? Joe's YouTube video has been taken down. 🤦‍♂️ Now the official announcement of one of the most important sponsorships in LIV Golf short history will be deflated! 🤷‍♂️
Flushing It@flushingitgolf

Jon Rahm’s LIV team, Legion XIII, have signed a partnership with Callaway golf. This is the first major OEM deal for a team on the LIV Golf League and confirms the trend of major sponsors coming in to work with the franchises. @JoePompliano

Jack Nicklaus played in all 40 major championships of the 1970s, he finished in the top 10 in 35 of them (88%) and won 8 times (20%). This means that for the entire decade he won more majors than he finished outside the top 10 in them. The greatest ever??

Director Stanley Kubrick famously demanded 127 takes of the iconic staircase scene in The Shining (1980), determined to capture every detail just as he envisioned. According to the Guinness World Records, it holds the title for the most takes ever filmed for a spoken-dialogue scene.

@JCAGOLFReport LIV Golf Comms’ “attention to detail” is & has been nonexistent from the very start, this is not new, it happens consistently…it is the blind leading the blind, hopefully the new CEO will clean house and bring in more competent and experienced professionals

LEGITIMACY LIV Golf announced today that Fox is going to broadcast their events for US audiences. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly that comes with that announcement. THE GOOD: The most important thing with this deal is that it provides LIV Golf with mainstream legitimacy. It will be much easier for LIV to do sponsorships contracts and other partnerships that will add more money to their coffers. It will also bring more exposure to the league in the US. It sends a direct message to PGA Tour players, executives, establishment golf media and PGA Tour fans that LIV is here to stay, no more BS talk that LIV Golf will fold next year. It says that the work the almighty PGA Tour did behind the scenes to block LIV Golf from getting any of the main US TV providers to broadcast their events was for nothing, it only delayed the inevitable (any similarity with what's going on with the PGA Tour/PIF deal is purely coincidental 😉). Now not one person can say that the PGA Tour is the only game in town. The Bad: A disclaimer first: If you think that LIV Golf events shown on Fox channels will automatically compare and compete in the Nielsen ratings to that of the PGA Tour, you are wrong, and if they do it will be a HUGE surprise. It will take time for LIV Golf to compete in ratings head to head and because LIV has a worldwide schedule some of those events will be shown in the US at awkward hours. The only live LIV Golf events (not tape delayed) that could really be compared to those on the PGA Tour will be the ones in the US and like I said that will take time and better promotion/marketing by LIV Golf and now Fox. Now to the bad. Be ready or better said, get used to watch TV commercials if you are watching on Fox channels and not on the LIV Golf+ app. Hopefully they will not be as often or in the amount of the PGA Tour broadcasts. We will have to wait and see if Fox gets creative with that and the interruptions of play are much less than in PGA Tour broadcasts. Time will tell. Also, get used to figuring out on which channel each round of play will be shown. Same thing happens with PGA Tour broadcasts. It was mentioned in press releases that Fox will use the regular over the air Fox channel along with their cable subscription channels FS1 , FS2 and Fox Business to broadcast LIV events. Which brings us to another negative. Not everyone has FS1, FS2 and Fox Business in their cable/satellite subscriptions nor every cable and satellite companies carry all of them. For example, my cable company has all Fox family channels except for FS1 and FS2. Fox sports channels are not widely carried by cable companies like for example ESPN and their channels. For those LIV Golf fans that want to continue watching LIV Golf on the LIV Golf+ app as most of the LIV Golf fans in the US do, it appears that the LIV Golf+ app for US residents will now carry a subscription fee. As always the LIV Golf press release is not clear on that and I have already seen accounts here on X (including this one) guessing fees from $12.99 to $69.99. Which brings us to the ugly. The ugly: For some unexplained reason the LIV Golf marketing and communications departments can't find a way to explain clearly the whole story to their fans. It has happened with their relegation system, contract hirings, and many other things. It is simply tiring for their fans and some are even mad or frustrated with the LIV Golf lack of communication. Such was the case today with the LIV Golf+ app subscription. As I said before, the press release left an opening to interpretation and if in fact the best app to watch golf will now have a fee for US subscribers then why didn't they said so in the press release? Why leave it for interpretation instead of giving the press and the fans the whole story? If the LIV Golf+ app will indeed have a subscription fee any person with a business sense will understand (especially their fans who love the app), not only because LIV now has a deal with Fox but because LIV Golf is a business and like any business they would like to get some revenue from their products. I still don't understand why the LIV Golf marketing and communications departments are so secretive with some basic things. That conduct is actually hurting them because fans and followers are tired of it.

Is it just me or do other fans think LIV Golf should be more proactive with updating team rosters on their website? I know relegated players can't be removed after the Promotion event, because they could present a successful business case. However, LIV team week has come and gone. Almost all the teams are filled and official. Why are the Vincent brothers, Samooja, Perez and Swafford, still listed? Thomas Pieters should be shown on 4 Aces Ben Campbell on RangeGoats Frederik Kjettrup on Cleeks Yubin Jang on Iron Heads Luis Masaveu on Fireballs Chieh-po Lee as a Wildcard And the 2025 reserves updated to include Ollie Schniederjans Legion XIII should have a spare spot until there is an official announcement about their new signing @LIVGolfComms Help us help you

Last night was the 1st time I started thinking @TGL might not work: - Players/fans questioning the tech is a HUGE issue. Bigger than ppl think. They’re gonna have to get out in front of that. 🚩 - The “best” moment was a shank from the bunker? Oof. Can’t blame the tech for some of those shots! - CGM clamoring for Phil on the call - didn’t take long. - I think it’s finding itself stuck in between being an actual golf competition & just an unserious content/laugh factory with no consequence. Like YouTube golf. I don’t mind that personally, but it’s a delicate balance and contrary to how it’s been marketed. - Kisner was SO bad. Wow. The worst player on LIV would beat him like a drum. Relegation time!
