Really gutting that Labour and Tories chose to vote against this important bill today. Happily, it passed anyway. Not Proven has been abolished, a specialist court will handle rape and sexual assault cases, and victims will be better supported thanks to the changes made.

If you wonder why women don't report rape, consider this. Pelicot was raped countless times by 100s of men, recorded 20,000 times. With all this documented PROOF, it's still had to go to trial, men still denied rape & there is still no guarantee they'll all be jailed.

It was the offence of upskirting that resulted in the discovery of Dominique Pélicot’s horrific crimes. This is why all ‘minor’ sex crimes (flashing, peeping toms, revenge porn, voyeurism, etc) should be investigated seriously, quickly, and robustly. No sex crimes are minor.
