@came2playy And I agree, while the hair style & tattoo coverage rules may seem strict, I am much more concerned & angry about the body shaming &accepting/encouraging EDs as part of athletes life. Our sport has a problem with this and gyms & coaches need to be aware and do better 😔

@lucyteamgreen @cheerldrr even if that was the case why arent unnatural hair colours allowed at TRAINING though? also i can’t imagine that a gym that’s currently being criticised for instilling eds into athletes would particularly care about external influences on young kids (regarding tattoos)

@came2playy I can’t answer why unnatural colors wouldn’t be allowed at practice, we don’t have that. We ask for no harsh changes to hair style/color 6 weeks prior to comp without talking to the coach of ur team. Other than that, athletes can have whatever (practice safe) style they prefer

@AlllThingsCheer @Stareetahs @cheerldrr @STlNGRAYCRUSH 2/2: somewhere else (often it‘s please communicate so the coaches are aware) & not every gym requires tattoos to be covered up or has strict rules on the uniformity of hair styles. Most is very common in these packages though

@AlllThingsCheer @Stareetahs @cheerldrr @STlNGRAYCRUSH I have been researching Try Out Packages and Info from Big Gyms past season to see what we may need and I can tell you this ain’t in no way a stand out from everything I found. Only points I didn’t see regularly are *asking permission for high school cheer, *don‘t tumble 1/2

@NicoleStegemann @cheerldrr Yes, agree. A flyer learning Kick Full/doubles - bases/back will be protected. Lost a tooth in one of these, and it‘s an unnecessary risk. They are $ 5-10, you heat them up with water and they mold to your anatomy. When it cools down it stays that way & isn’t uncomfortable

@PEACHSMACK_ I can understand that if it‘s for certain reasons. We ask athletes to not change their hair drastically 6 weeks prior to comps without talking to their head coach. We always find a compromise with the athletes

@came2playy @cheerldrr 2/2 eye catcher. Eyes will be drawn to what is highlighted out of the uniformity of a team. If the person is a show stopper it can be good, but if their skills aren’t perfect technique drawing judges eyes to them isn’t good. And so say A on Center can have pink hair but x can’t?

@JJustagirl24 It is - especially because you could be able to take tumbling privates somewhere where you can afford them (at all or more). They could expect athletes to tumble with certain technique & have a info document or so where it says what CJA wants for Tumbling TQ for uniformity 🤷🏻‍♀️

@cheerldrr Not being able to tumble elsewhere is unreasonable.

@came2playy @cheerldrr I want to add that I obviously don’t know what CJAs reasons for these are, just telling my experience & why we ask athletes to not do unnatural hair Colors without talking to their head coach. It works well for us.

that’s why i feel very frustrated for women who think most men are just a reasonable discussion away from “getting it”. they get it perfectly well already lol they just use their advanced understanding to advance their violence instead

@CheerFessions1 We do themed music, but never change the uniform for it (German parents would never pay for a new uniform each season) & rarely use props (like a special bow etc). Would be sad if that wasn’t allowed - it adds creativity if done right.

At least 21 DAYS until "Return to Competition" = really happy to see this in the newly published UK Concussion Guidelines! Why is this important?? Well, based on our 2020 PINK Concussions paper published in Brain Injury, look at when US private school students returned to sports in my next tweet.

Typically I screenshot to make lawsuits easier to read. This needs to be read in its entirety as it shows a deep rooted culture issue at Navarro. Madi made a brave choice to put her name to what happened to her but she is not alone. drive.google.com/file/d/1gq_3XB…
