Remember that we are talking about individuals who may not have extensive knowledge of Africa and its diverse customs. While they may be aware of the existence of the Zulu people, their understanding is often limited. As a result, it’s not uncommon to see them doing such without a deeper cultural context or even how it may be perceived by those from that particular group of people.

@Fiuernt True. But very few Boers went to Russia. Russia is too foreign for us but American culture and language we already know and can easily assimilate. A gain for the US but great loss for our tribe in South Africa.

Breaking News: Afrikaners to get refugee status in the USA. The White House said Washington will formulate a plan to resettle Boers and their families as refugees. It said U.S. officials will take steps to prioritize humanitarian relief, including admission and resettlement through the United States Refugee Admissions Program for Afrikaners in South Africa.
