@anders_boje Yep, I think our Cursor rules duplication is already somewhat unnecessary since AGENTS.md are fully supported in Cursor out-of-the-box afaik.. will clean that up soon.

@anders_boje We tried to push all relevant configurations into the repo to have it work just fine out of the box for Cursor and Claude Code. This includes some vscode, cursor, and claude settings. For cursor we have this minimal instruction here: #vs-code--cursor-setup" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/streamlit/stre…

@lukasmasuch Thanks for a detailed and valuable blog post. One question: do you have or need a separate guide on how to set up Cursor or Claude Code to get the most out of the developer experience? In Cursor, it could be things like downloading this MCP, toggling on this feature, etc.

@domjost Previously, we did all our spec collaboration on Notion. But we moved this to Github PRs using comments and approval, e.g.: github.com/streamlit/stre… Not perfect, but works good enough for us.

@lukasmasuch Inspiring @lukasmasuch! I'd love to learn more about "Move context into the repo": - Why are architecture doc (skill) and API design principles (AGENTS.md) not part of the wiki? - How do you keep specs and implementation in sync? - How do you collaborate on spec writing?

@domjost Our (product) specs are often created together with prototypes which helps to go from spec to merge-ready implementation in most cases without additional iterations on the spec. But if it needs tweaks, we just merge int the changes together with the feature PR.

@domjost The architecture and principles are human-reviewed and more permanent. We want agents to take those seriously. Documents in the agent wiki have a more temporary value and no guarantees to be correct. The AGENTS.md within the agent wiki points this out: raw.githubusercontent.com/wiki/streamlit…

stlite@0.48.0 is finally out shipping Streamlit@1.32.2! Init loading time became ~2.5x faster ⚡️ github.com/whitphx/stlite… #Streamlit #Wasm #Pyodide
Yuichiro@whitphx

Since 1.32.0 @Streamlit lazily imports some of its dependencies such as altair, matplotlib, etc. for faster initialization. The next version of stlite (Serverless Streamlit) will take its advantage and the loading time is going to be 2.5x faster! github.com/whitphx/stlite…

We released a new version of stlite, Serverless #Streamlit, 0.43.1, whose backend Streamlit has been upgraded to 1.27.0, with a huge contribution by @lukasmasuch from @Streamlit! You can finally use the new features such as st.satter_chart on stlite too! edit.share.stlite.net

@ben_j_lindsay Happy to build this and thanks for proposing the interface. Sometimes all it needs is a new interface on existing code 😊 Maybe its useful for other @streamlit users as well
