A Thunder trio garners prestigious recognition after a successful year on and off the field!
College Sports Communicators has announced its Academic All-America teams for the 2025 football season, and three Wheaton student-athletes have been named to the Division III Second Team for their academic and athletic performance last fall.
Congratulations to Joseph Bracy, David Nussbaum, and Josiah Smith for earning their first career Academic All-America honors!
Wheaton is tied for the second-most Academic All-America recipients among all Division III football programs this year, and no CCIW school has more team members than Wheaton's three. Three marks the highest number of Academic All-America honorees for the Thunder in a single season since 2021.

College Sports Communicators has announced its 2025 Academic All-District recipients in football, and seven Wheaton student-athletes have earned this special recognition.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, football student-athletes must be an academic and athletic sophomore or older, own at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and have competed in 90 percent of their team's games or must have started in at least 66 percent of all games in the current season.

Johanik becomes a unanimous All-American with today's announcement, and he extends @WheatonFB 's streak of having at least one unanimous All-America selection in every season since 2017.

The Associated Press has released its 2025 NCAA Division III Football All-America Teams, and a trio of Wheaton players have been named to the Second and Third Teams for their noteworthy performances this year.

D3football.com has released its 2025 All-Region Teams, and ten Thunder football players have been named to the Region 5 First and Second Teams for their impressive play this fall.
Ten is the highest number of All-Region honorees in a single season for @WheatonFB since 2021.

The @WheatonFB team defeats DePauw University, 49-24, on the road to advance to the @NCAADIII Quarterfinals. Wheaton reaches the quarterfinal stage of the national playoffs for the first time since 2019 and wins a third postseason game in a single season for just the second time in program history (2008).
The Thunder will face the winner of Saint John's and UW-River Falls in next Saturday's Quarterfinal, and the host site of that game will be confirmed by the NCAA tomorrow.

Wheaton's field general earns a prestigious recognition.
The J-Club has announced the 15 semifinalists for the 2025 Gagliardi Trophy, presented by Stearns Bank, and Mark Forcucci has been named to this year's honoree list. The Gagliardi Trophy, given annually since 1993, is awarded to the most outstanding NCAA Division III football player and recognizes excellence in athletics, academics and community service.
Forcucci joins former Thunder quarterback Will Bowers (2022), linebacker Eric Stevenson (2018), and offensive lineman Matt Snebold (2015) as the fourth award semifinalist in program history.
This year's Gagliardi Trophy finalists will be announced during a live show on D3football.com at 4 p.m. ET on Thursday, December 18th.

Statement win.
The Wheaton football team rolls to a dominant 76-14 victory over Crown College at McCully Stadium to begin the postseason in style and punch its ticket to the second round of the national playoffs!
Today's scoreline represents the Thunder's largest-ever playoff win and the program's highest point total in a single game since November 2018.
Wheaton will travel to Wartburg College next Saturday for a 12 PM Second Round matchup.
