@SomeMcOofy @thekidet I would disagree with the “former college hoopers are all middle class”. I dont think socioeconomics have changed around the game in the slightest. Would need to see data to believe it tbh

A couple hours after the loss, give me your thoughts on Lincoln Riley⬇️

Lincoln Riley offenses usually play very confidently, almost arrogantly. They have looked timid lately. The loss of confidence in the OL has infected everyone - including the QB and the HC. They need to pick it up and start playing football again. Fight your asses off, boys.

USC is now 3-3 and headed for another disappointing season. Are high-level recruits going to flock here now because they’re feeling the vibe of something special going on? Nope. This loss has sent the program into an iceberg. We had to win it. We failed. Again.

@uscpsycho Problem is, USC followed that up with refusing to drop the bags.

People who say Riley isn't winning because it takes a long time to rebuild and he doesn't have the talent, must have amnesia. Riley himself said returning to national prominence would happen very quickly and he cited the many ways you can build a roster as one of the reasons why.

@ImCollegeSoccer My question is: what if a player skipped a grade in school but plays with his birth year at the ECNL level. Will he have to tryout for a new team and be replaced on his current team because he is a grade ahead of them in school?

@joeydra1 @chomakovg Also, not enough kids specialize on soccer in America. A lot of the kids that do play, only play for 1/3 of the year. Where in other countries that’s all they do.

As a youth soccer coach that has coached for a club and a school I have seen a lot of problems. A lot of the youth teams in my area are coached by parents of kids on the team. Who of course will always play their kid and probably aren’t qualified to coach. I saw kids who had talent but needed proper coaching to reach the next level. My head coach at the time cut those couple of kids because “it was too challenging of a project” to develop them. I saw kids playing in the street who looked like they had something there, but never tried out because they couldn’t afford cleats, shin-guards etc. Our “pay to play” system in America is why we are still light years behind the “top nations”. Until that is changed we will continue to struggle against the elite.

The whole US soccer system is a joke. Everything needs to just start over and be rebuilt because it obviously doesnt work. We have this talk every year. The amount of money this country has, there are no excuses not to be able to compete. Youth system is a joke. No promotion/relegation is a joke. The problem is, people in power dont want change. They keep making their money so they dont care about wins/losses. Its why any real good coaches who would have interest would want full control of changing everything up and until that happens, nothing will change. Its a process, its a grind. Many arent willing to give up power to see that process through.

I'm a little confused on this. Most programs have has a Recruiting Director or Director of Recruiting for a long, long time. What's the difference between that and General Manager at the college level? Is DeBoer really a "step ahead" or just giving the Recruiting Dir. a new name?
Adam Breneman@AdamBreneman81

Every college football program needs a General Manger. Kalen DeBoer has been a step ahead for years now with one of the best GMs in college football @PlayerProMorgan Courtney not only built Washington’s roster last year, but also Michigan’s before that ⬇️

Do yall think a football coach/team could utilize AI for play calls/selection, etc And it would be effective?
