@lukefelsner @313Hockey I understand the sentiment but I don't see how a guy who couldn't see the ice and an injury prone old guy who's past it for two high draft picks helps us build. This trade doesn't put us any closer to the playoffs this year and subtracts from future assests.

Yes it would have been very nice to have Dobson, but: - The Islanders had a very specific asking price Detroit could not meet - He’s be your #2RD making more than your #1RD I wanted him, it’s frustrating Montreal got better, but it just didn’t line up.

@313Hockey Rome wasnt built in a night, neither will we be, but i dont know when they acquire the guys to get better, and how we make it further. Ottawa Montreal CBJ all improving, Toronto Tampa Florida not leaving, cant pass any of these teams without movement, theres just tumbleweeds here

@313Hockey No worries! Im not lookin to be hostile. I dont think Dobson will make us a contender, however i think its super poor to miss out on an attainable player to a div rival. I just dont have faith in the front office doing much, we know yzerman is quiet and working. Lately just quiet

Or do we need to draft more? Either way, the answer is they’re far off being where they are and they should fix that!

I love ASP and Cossa, Danielson is ok, after that you’re losing the guys that will come in with an impact, and youre getting these guys across YEARS, larkin and cat will be gone soon enough

@lukefelsner @BrianFisherLORW they've bet on their prospects developing and right now their best players are Seider, Raymond, Edvinsson, and Kasper to go along with Larkin and DeBrincat they have more prospects on the way and i think its silly to suggest they cant stay this course given these early results

Kasper has a much higher ceiling than I originally imagined. He improves in jumps What's his upside? Nate, I'm not as sure Petey has faltered and has a not wonderful contract that Vancouver would like to rid themselves of. Used to think Elias was frnachise mode. I tend to think he can hit 90 to 100 pts again so maybe you so ti but there is for sure some risk here Maybe Kasper can be a 90 pt. guy too he has skill, hockey sense and a great motor coach play any F psotion apparently
