@alexgleith @_mikoontz @gischatbot @NASA_Landsat My understanding is that the period in JavaScript regex matches any character, so 'SR_B.' will apply the correction to all spectral bands (B1-B7). However, I don't know why SR_B* is used for the thermal band instead of SR_B10 (but Im a JavaScript novice)

@lukewarm1981 @_mikoontz @gischatbot @NASA_Landsat Is the opticalBands line supposed to have a `*` in it? This doesn't clip to 0 either, which you might want to do. Not certain though...

In @NASA_Landsat Collection 1 Surface Reflectance product, the scale multiplier cancelled out: NDVI = (NIR - R) / (NIR + R) In Collection 2, you can't ignore scale and offset to get proper NDVI: NDVI = (NIR - R) / (NIR + R + (2*offset/scale)) What am I missing here? #gischat

I just noticed the example snippet is in the Tier 1 product too: developers.google.com/earth-engine/d… Might just be because I came to remote sensing from field ecology, but I hadn’t appreciated when it may or may not matter to apply these!

We pulled out when the fires were crowning and racing well ahead of the active fire below, 100s of metres in advance. Frightening to see as the crowns erupted
