これはニューヨークに行ったときに食べた牡蠣。じつはアメリカ北部州（いわゆる東海岸）では牡蠣は歴史的・文化的にとても重要な食材で、今でもマンハッタンには生牡蠣を提供する店がごまんとある。

I'm actually tired of seeing people's new ideas for fantasy races tbh. I dunno why but they always feel like they're trying too hard to be outlandish, just to avoid using familiar symbols. Reading old fantasy literature like the OZ books or Narnia, they're filled with interesting creatures but nobody now can match the feel that they have.

On the surrounding discourse of Tolkien, I think all fantasy authors should be banned from using elves, dwarves, and orcs for the next hundred years. They’ve been bleached of the fantastical and become stale, materialist symbols divorced from their original meaning.
