@Crypt0universe@oliaklein First of all, no. The Israelis didn’t steal their land. But even if Palestinians believe that’s what happened, they should have built lives in Gaza instead of refusing to move on and waiting for Israel to be destroyed. They could have had beautiful lives but they never moved on.
Palestinian refugees can scream as much as they want.
But not to me.
1. I was a political refugee from the Soviet Union. I left with almost nothing at the age of 18.
2. Most of my family (approximately 80%) died during Holocaust. They lost everything: most of their family members and all of their possessions.
3. Once I landed in the US, I went to college, graduated, had a career, and raised two amazing children. And, I brought my parents from the former Soviet Union.
4. I’m a humble and modest person. I don’t have a need to brag. I am simply stating the facts.
I have a genuine question for all the critics of Israel/military experts:
On Oct 7 Hamas terrorists broke into Israel and murdered, raped, maimed and took hostage Israeli citizens? And vowed to do it again.
What exactly would have been the correct response? Tell me pls.
@PettyCrockerAR@ZiggyTzardust American’s are so self-centred it’s actually insane. You’re best work has truly been the concoction of a whole story about watermelons
and racism as if there is any reason that would apply to the middle east, Palestine, or even israel😭😭
@ZiggyTzardust It’ll be “It’s Palestinian History Month! February has been about Palestine for at least 10 years, why so mad?”.
Just like the watermelon bullshit.
Apparently from today, in London.
Woman holding a sign saying that we (? Jews? Israelis?) are "indigenous to hell"
The joke is, she's culturally appropriated the word for hell from the Hebrew ge'heinom, which was the name of a valley in Israel.
A superb example of irony.
This poster seen today on campus depicts all Israelis as skunks.
If any other group was depicted as animals, the school would have already called the @FBI to investigate.
What's next? All Jews are vermin?
@Columbia University - What the fuck are you waiting for?
@PeonyPink11@DanielM30207347@ShaiDavidai@FBI@Columbia who the hate is directed towards (Jews OR israelis) does make it a massive difference and if you can’t understand why, then you lack major critical thinking skills, and the historical knowledge to even discuss this topic.
@lvrr_101@DanielM30207347@ShaiDavidai@FBI@Columbia Circular logic is no logic. You’re multi people being very dull & banging on about a minuscule pimple on a pumpkin prob re 1 talking point.
Separating Jews from Israel in this 1 poster case is still ‘hate’ hence a “distinction within a difference” because it’s all hate numbskull
@dean_@Speechbruh@conservans_ The Nakba is well documented historical event, trying to deny facts won’t change history. You know what actually happened, Dean. Do you want to try again?
@PeonyPink11@DanielM30207347@ShaiDavidai@FBI@Columbia your comment claims there is no difference between a poster, depicting the israeli flag vs. a jewish symbol. I am telling you there is a massive difference. I am not changing any debate perimeters, in fact, I’ve kept this conversation more than your snap chat AI responses have
@lvrr_101@DanielM30207347@ShaiDavidai@FBI@Columbia You can critique Israeli politics & politicians all you like, but we aren’t talking about that are we? You are overreaching now, changing the debate perimeters; my comments were in regard to a specific hate poster displayed in a university.
Again, what is your actual point?
@PeonyPink11@DanielM30207347@ShaiDavidai@FBI@Columbia distinction between israel and judaism/jewish people is a VERY important distinction to make. Massive difference between criticizing israel and being anti-semitic. Please read ur responses before replying, btw, your replies read like your trying to be profound and failing.
@lvrr_101@DanielM30207347@ShaiDavidai@FBI@Columbia Is posting hate against one group or the another group better or worse for Jews or Israelis?
It’s not good for either group in my opinion.
Hence “a distinction without a difference” as I originally said.
@lvrr_101@DanielM30207347@ShaiDavidai@FBI@Columbia For whom? The hostages?
The Jews or the Israeli?
I didn’t see the Hamas terrorists being discerning on Oct 7th?
Or the University being discerning today.
So who’s doing better out of the current hatred?
Jews around the world or the Israelis? I suggest they are all suffering.
@SheriFlanders@chrislongview another war, thousand more killed, more countries destroyed and it’s all the USA’s fault. the people you are voting in are the people who are destroying us and our people.
@Calder197@abirballan@richimedhurst Ok, so where did the current, Palestinian, population come from then? there was no mass migration to Palestine, definitely not Arab migration, so where did they come from?
@abirballan@richimedhurst Because Israel is the Jewish homeland. It ain't rocket science. Historical ties to the land of Israel, the indigenous people.
"why don't Arab countries take in Palestinians"?
1. They have. Several times.
2. Palestinians are people, not inconvenient "things" to be moved around
3. "Why don't the Israelis stop stealing land and turning people into refugees?" is what you should be asking.
