Wasn’t to be in terms of the playoffs, but what a season it’s been for Arbroath. A part time team coming up to the Championship and finishing 3rd is an incredible achievement. David Gold and Colin Hamilton deserve immense credit for what they’ve done since taking over 👏🇱🇻

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Tonight is a big night for Arbroath FC, the only semi professional club in the Scottish Championship! Having won promotion last season, they’re trying to go back to back as they face off against Scottish Cup finalists Dunfermline in the playoffs! It comes bang in the middle of a three match run against the same opposition, having played them in the final league game then a two legged playoff tie! Arbroath haven’t played in the top flight since 1975!

Arbroath finishing 3rd in a Championship of that make-up is absolutely brilliant. First season back up in second tier and they secure a shot at promotion to the Premiership. Were unbeaten in 26 of their 36 league games. David Gold, Colin Hamilton & co doing a fine job.
