Mary Island State Park in the thousand Islands = heaven on earth. And it was looking especially beautiful last night at sunset. Only accessible by boat, it comprises 12 heavily-wooded acres with steep rocky outcroppings offering spectacular views.

The Mrs. busy sewing fingers were still ready to go after the purse so she made these new toppers for the living room and kitchen windows yesterday. All this sewing will soon end as she normally puts away her various sewing machines on the same day that I put away my snowblower.

@stan_sdcollins Nice comparison. I just purchased a Nikon Coolpix B500. It was the most affordable super zoom I could find. 35mm equivalently 800mm. I’m a little shaky when full zoom…I’ll keep practicing. Looks like you’ve got it down 👍🏻

I am often asked how I can get so close to animals. I am really not close at all and use a very long hand held anti vibration telephoto lens. To illustrate here is the lighthouse taken with the short end on the left, and the long end on the right both from the same spot.
