One of the things that attracted me to the crypto/blockchain space was the fact that so many companies were open to remote working, being based anywhere, etc. It’s sad to see that the trend is shifting toward needing to be based somewhere, namely NY or SF.

As a girl, not being financially independent is scarier than not getting married.

@rkulidzan This is going to backfire in a couple of years when all of these companies have no juniors or mid-level talent. This practice is also harming seniors as they’re not mentoring or providing support to colleagues who could be coming behind them.

i've noticed this since applying for jobs it's a tough market, but at least there are jobs for me (and other seniors) to apply to, but i have seen virtually no entry-grade positions across the board, making any junior roles far more competitive when they are posted

@lwrocks This is how I feel trying out substack. But I also remember on Linkedin feeling like ai was shouting into the void for such a long time and then eventually things took off! You got this!

The hardest part about Twitter/generally “building in public” is getting comfortable with the idea that you’ll probably be shouting into the void with little to no engagement for a while.

Also…in the early days of this app, it felt like a hangout. Many of my friends were here and it was one of the places where we would keep in touch. That’s not the case anymore and I get nostalgic for those times.

Earlier today I watched a YouTube video about “The Seismic Shifts Happening in Web Design” and one of the key insights I took from it was, “Build something that makes something FEEL something, even if that something is, ‘this isn’t for me.’” #webdesign

Got caught up with the Wonder Wallets content in the @shefiorg course. I already have a cold wallet that I purchased a few years ago but it was cool to learn about the additional features that are available on @Trezor. Looking forward to upgrading very soon! #wonderwallets

Also, it was such a refreshing way to network and felt more personal. I’ve always struggled a bit with putting myself out there ay networking events and so this was a nice alternative.

Last week a woman in one of the networking groups I’m in on FB made a post about wanting to network more, so she invited anyone who was interested to book a 15-minute call with her. She was so nice!
