This judgement unlike what ill informed people are perceiving it to be is not remotely related to that.
The Supreme Court has categorically held that Housewife contributes to nation and ordered additional compensation for loss of wife's domestic care in road accident cases.
This is related to compensation to be awarded in case of death in cases of Motor Accident Claims where earlier there was no mechanism to quantify the loss accrued in case of death of a non-working women (housewives). Therefore, this is a welcome step and a landmark judgement in its own capacity.
Justice Karol is known to touch upon issues relating to the plight of common citizens of the country. I remember having argued a habeas corpus plea before him when he was the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court. He not only took action against the delinquent SHO, but also awarded a compensation to the truck driver who was illegally detained. Further, he wrote down an entire judgement on the plight of truck drivers and the issues and difficulties they face in their profession.

#BREAKING : Shishupal Vs Surjeet
Justice Sanjay Karol: We are also of the view that the housewife contributes to the growth of the human being and the nation. And how do you assess that contribution in terms of monetising it? We have laid down the principles and, as a nation-builder, have quantified the amount that the loss of domestic care monthly income, in any event, would be ₹30,000 per month.
We have also carved out a new principle following Pranay Sethi, and this is in addition to what has been laid down therein. We have issued certain directions and we hope and trust that the Hon'ble Chief Justices of all the High Courts would monitor all these cases and that what is laid down under Section 169 of the Act, namely that it be a summary procedure, would be followed in letter and spirit.

you're paying $200/month for AI subscriptions. nvidia released a box that does the same thing for $5/month in electricity. forever.
128GB unified memory. Blackwell chip at 1 petaflop. a networking card inside it that costs $1,500 on its own. all in a chassis the size of a Mac Mini.
runs models up to 230 billion parameters. locally. from your desk. no API. no cloud. no monthly payments.
the average AI developer spends $2,400/year on ChatGPT Pro + API + Claude + Cursor. this box replaces all of it. pays for itself in 20 months. after that - free inference forever.
two boxes connect directly = mini cluster with 256GB. 400 billion parameter models on your desk.
Mac Studio costs the same but has no CUDA and no datacenter networking.
nvidia compressed a datacenter into a $3,999 desktop box. the question isn't whether people will buy it. the question is what happens to cloud subscriptions when inference becomes free.
