This is so clever! 🤩 Side-by-side, the recent birthday videos of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis show them playing cricket together 🏏 on a beach in Cornwall.

👋🇬🇧 Hey Brits 👉since you love a good moan, I crunched the numbers. Now I’ve got a few things to ask YOU, and be honest ! Lol. 😉 👉Every time there’s a royal event, people start shouting about “our taxes paying for the monarchy.” So let’s break it down. 👉💷 What’s it actually costing you? The official figure — called the Sovereign Grant — was £86.3 million last year. That’s about £1.29 per person.👈 Roughly £3 to £5 per household. Basically, the cost of a coffee. (Source: Royal.uk) 👉📈 Where’s that money even coming from? It’s not from your wallet directly. It comes from the Crown Estate ... which isn’t the King’s personal stash. The government takes 75% of the profits and gives 25% back to cover royal duties.✅️ So, no, they’re not raiding your bank account. 😅💲💰 (Source: UK Parliament Library) 💰 Some folks say the “real” cost is higher. 👉A group called Republic claims that when you add in security, travel, and events, it’s more like £510 million a year. ✅️ 👉Even then, that’s about £7 to £20 per household. 😅 lol. (Source: Republic.org.uk) - 🧮 Now let’s put that next to what people actually spend.😉 The average UK household drops: ✅️Over £1,000 a year on Netflix, Sky, and internet ✅️ Over £800 on takeaways ✅️ Over £4,000 on booze, smokes, and entertainment 👉And yet £3–5 for the royals is the thing that gets everyone worked up? Really?😅 Honesty, IF the monarchy vanished tomorrow, would your rent go down? Would your grocery bill magically shrink? Would your paycheck suddenly grow? 🙅♂️Nope. You wouldn’t be richer. The government would still need to pay for a head of state, security, and all the official stuff - just with a different label. 🤷♂️💬 So why all the fuss? 👉Because it’s about what it represents. People don’t like seeing palaces and parades when they’re struggling to pay bills. That’s fair. I get it. But let’s not act like £1.29 a year is the reason you’re broke. The UK wastes billions on bad decisions, foreign aid, defense deals, and government screw-ups. Yet somehow, the royals get blamed for everything wrong in the country. 🤔❓️ So here’s the real question: 👉Are you actually angry at the monarchy… or is it just the easiest thing to point fingers at while the economy’s a mess? 👉Because if £1.29 a year is what’s holding you back from living your best life… #BuckinghamPalace isn’t the problem. - #costoflivingcrisis
