So let's get things straight, @photomatt says they (ie @WordPress ) "forked" ACF, when actually they took it over. With its reviews, its user base, its support forum threads and its contributors, who god knows if they know. A fork might have had some dignity.

New WordPress scam. You get an email that your website has critical vulnerability ( see image attached ). Once you click the link it takes you to replica of the plugins repo with the 'security patch' to be added as a plugin... #WordPress PS. They got a really tricky domain!

@NabeelMolham Using hooks and filters is definitely useful but not always necessary. In my tests I always ask them to create the plugin as a class. I think the way the class will be organized it will tell me enough about his coding experience
