On the complete opposite end of things... If you have plastic or rubber parts, you can use liquid nitrogen or dry ice to freeze the burrs & flashing, then tumble or blast them away. @quazzer Great questions! The toolhead actually gets one bottom bearing per shaft (the full V geometry distributes the upward extrusion forces across two bearings, not just a single one). On heat: the upper shaft is encased in a cooling jacket shared by the stepper motor, so the top 5 bearings stay close to ambient temperature. The bottom bearing rolls on aluminum rod, so I’m hoping it stays cool too. Plastic housing has been fine so far 👍

@m_IDEX @YouTube Great to see new bearing idea, but what about any upward forces on the single bottom bearing from extrusion pressure at nozzle. And are there any thermal effects in the plastic bearing housing
