@dreamsNscience Ponzo (2011) is a paper on the Aristotle illusion, which is a tactile effect totally unrelated. In 1928 he uses what we now call Ponzo illusion but stating clearly that it was a known effect, never claiming to have discovered it. bertamini.org/lab/Publicatio…

The Ponzo #Illusion is a geometrical-optical illusion that was 1st demonstrated by the Italian psychologist Mario Ponzo (1882–1960) in 1911. He suggested that the human mind judges an object's size based on its background.
