@asemota Democracy decided to throw away the concept collective good by rejecting the idea that the collective good can be attained through a small group of people. It replaced that by allowing individual interests to replace that idea of a collective good.

I think one of the flaws of democracy is the fallacious assumption that most people are rational or even compassionate enough to consider what is in the collective's best interest. Combine that flaw with extreme capitalism, and you get America or Nigeria today.

There are more Christians than Muslims. Catholics alone are over 1.2 billion. Plus the US government is mostly chritian and describes itself as having judeo-christian values. Christians are safe. It isn't going anywhere even without this large force it would've still persisted.
