The insanity happening at Ivy League schools is another reason why Southern universities now have record enrollment. Students/parents are done putting up with extremists while going to college. Instead they’re choosing to get a great education, enjoy the weather and watch SEC🏈

Garden putout tomatoes 🍅 this week!

After 23 years, I had high hopes I could at least listen to President Clinton’s voice without the hair standing up on my neck. That was a failure. Damn.

@laynebruce My mom had a salad in Asheville a few years ago that was similarly revelatory. It had three different types of tomatoes, and each was diced or sliced in a different manner. Now it’s how we always do it with our summer bounty.

@laynebruce I’ve never diced my tomatoes for my tomato tarts or pies, always sliced. Must try soon! We have 13 tomato plants in the garden…so there will be plenty of opportunity.

Went to Charleston and ate tomato pie that put my tomato tart recipe to shame. Came home to reconstruct it and, I’ve got to say, it’s pretty dadgum good.
