My main issue with the recent MH games is that he outcome of a hunt is now entirely based on player skill
In the older games skill definitely mattered, but preparation, knowledge and planning were a much larger focus, playing into the idea of being a hunter rather than a warrior

It’s a genuinely baffling how little people actually play monster Hunter Claw is not a mechanic you can ignore. you do that and your hunts will take 2x longer

Also, every Wilds player that beat all of Wilds HR would beat all of any MH's HR if they wanted. Many of them might not want to because the older games are very janky though and we all know that's true.

@mabujold @SASMeatMan The fact that you have to compare probably the most difficult hunt in wilds to a mid tier monster in MH4U says it all. MH used to be challenging by many factors (controls, preparation, map hazards, etc) but it had an excellent difficulty curve for those willing to engage

@Taigurexu @SASMeatMan Just like how Omega Savage does with most players. Having one or even a couple of hunts be challenging does not make the whole game difficult. There are difficult hunts in every MH, the games are still not difficult

@Sacred_Echo_00 in concept, i like them a lot, but in reality, one becomes the best and is used 95% of the time.
Air dual blade was absolutely some of the most fun I've had in all of MH though.

@ReturnTower A lot of old players considers getting used to the rough combat part of the skill floor and think because the PC is more in-control of it's movement that combat is ruined because it lowers the skill floor.

Bring back typed bows,its fucking boring that every bow is just a spread bow they managed to fix it in Rise and then we are back to it in Wilds. World rework was the worst,
Bows were fun where you could adjust your gameplay to the type of arrow,now all of them play the exact same
