I just finished writing a deep-dive essay on John 1:14, “Christ in you,” and the mystery of the Logos. For centuries, orthodox theology has leaned on the translation “the Word dwelt among us.” But the Greek can also mean “in us”—and that opens an entirely different vision of Christ’s indwelling presence. Is this reading not at least as plausible—or perhaps more plausible—than the traditional narrative? Saying that evil is merely the absence of God is an egregious philosophical copout. God is either fundamental reality or he isn't. There is no "absence" if God is the All. Thus, in this model, evil must have an essential purpose and is part of the oneness of God.
