As Nowruz arrives today — a celebration symbolising renewal, empathy, and hope, observed by millions in Iran and beyond its borders — too many are marking it under bombardment, displaced from their homes, and mourning the dead. I call on all parties to cease hostilities, allow unimpeded humanitarian access, and uphold their obligations under international law. But the human rights crisis in Iran did not begin with the strikes, and it will not end when they stop. The people affected by the strikes are the same people who bore the brunt of the nationwide protests. Executions, the repression of minorities, the imprisonment of political prisoners, and violence against women all predate this war and demand equal attention. If we put the people of Iran at the heart of any solution, the strikes must stop and diplomatic dialogue must resume. Above all, Nowruz is a time for family. I urge Iranian authorities to lift the internet shutdown and release all those arbitrarily detained — including those held in connection with the nationwide protests — so that families can be whole again.

「オタクの血はいらない、といった発言はフェミニストはしていない」との主張について調査しました。 結論として、本件の発端はXではなく、外部のSNSや記事（ガールズちゃんねる等の女性向けサイト）に由来し、その後X上に拡散した事例であることが確認できました。 原因となった投票型サイトでは、 「キモイ男の血が欲しいんですかね？」 「キモイアニオタの血なんて輸血されたくない」 といったコメントに、それぞれ1000件以上の肯定が集まっており「女性のごく一部の事象」とは言い難い状況が見られます。 さらに、複数のラディカルフェミニズム系アカウントがこれに賛同し、X上でもオタクや男性に対する中傷的な投稿が行われていた形跡が確認できます。（画像参照） この時点で 「そのような発言はなかった」 という主張は成立しません。 本件は2020年前後の事案であり、当時はX（旧Twitter）のモデレーションが比較的機能していたため、過激な投稿の多くは削除またはアカウント凍結の対象となっています。そのため、現時点で確認できる資料はスクリーンショットや比較的穏当な表現に限られます。 しかし、2020年10月頃にはこの事件の反論投稿が多数確認できることから、当該発言をめぐる炎上が実際に発生していたことは明らかです。 にもかかわらず、 「そのような発言は存在しなかった」 とする主張が出てくる背景には、削除や凍結によって記録が可視化されにくくなった事実を利用しようとする意図がうかがえます。 なぜこのような主張が行われるのか それは「被害者ポジショニング」を維持するための言論操作と見るのが妥当です。 「女性差別」を主張するためには自らが被害者である必要があり、自らが加害的な行為を行っていた事実は極めて不都合です。 そうした事実は「女性が差別されている」という前提そのものを揺るがすため、結果として「そもそも発言は存在しなかった」とする方向へ論点が転換されていると考えられます。 また近年においても、このような構図は顕著であり、 「男は女性を差別しているからぶつかる」 「端肉の提供は女性を狙っている」 といった、個別の事件や、根拠が示されない信憑性の怪しい情報が拡散され、性差別へと一般化する言説が確認されています。 こうした傾向を踏まえれば、当該事案における中傷の存在自体を全面的に否定する見解は、信頼性に乏しいと言えます。
