@daddy__broccoli Those transparent displays won't get you anywhere for glasses. You need diabolical optics for a display of that size or it needs to be like 15-20cm away. Look into LCOS displays

@cursedconnector Oh yeah I'll add in an FPC connector. Good point - I'll add a solder pad in case it breaks so I can just use a piece of wire.

@maciint0sh Oh I meant between the main board and the stylus FFC /FPC cable. Just in case you were thinking about direct attach - the ribbons your posted appear to be of the solder contact type. And this stuff fatigues horribly, when it's used outside of the plane of its main axis.

I built NeuroAR, augmented reality glasses that can read your brain activity :D Can we sense brain activity and explore a new interaction loop between the brain, wearable computing, and AR? This was my work at Fab Academy, where I learn how to build hardware from "scratch".

@willreil Looks way cleaner on PCB w/out the module, you can solder straight on or use FPC connector. Hook up is easy as its just I2C with some passives

How hard is it to assemble a screen like this on to a PCB? Would I be better off with the modules or is this the way to go?

ya so i wanna make a 34mm diameter actuator and this is the BLDC driver board. what can I POSSIBLY do??? do I make a planetary gearbox? cycloidal drive? is this TOO MUCH for me to FIGURE OUT?

@maciint0sh drv8316a has current sense I believe? or a single channel or something. need to read datasheet

@i2cjak They gotta make an XT15 or something, theres decent no high current connector between XT30 and some tiny JST connectors

@i2cjak I use drv8316c which is superior to A because it has current sense

@HyperLogistix it's the size of the motor. want it to be compact.
