When we had a chance to reflect together, we became more aware of our own and others’ talents, needs, and vulnerabilities. This awareness helped to improve communication and teamwork.

We found: 1) Research teams had to deal with uncertainty that is common for methods research, which is often exploratory and focuses on processes. 2) Teams had to be flexible in how they worked together and share power.
