@Hilbe @comma_ai It literally is the coolest device ever. Made me love my Rivian all over again. It’s so freeing to be able to engage openpilot whenever I want. Though I have an X with FSD, I find myself wanting to use my Rivian w/ @comma_ai more. Former tesla evangelist now Comma evangelist.

At some point @Tesla not allowing FSD transfers will be a drag on sales as owners who will want a new model or newer Tesla will not follow through on a new purchase as they won’t want to give up FSD they paid for already to then become a subscriber. As MYL rolls out I wonder how many MY owners would upgrade but don’t because of this reason. Saw @DennisCW_ decide not to do get MYL for this very reason.

@RivianTrackr This update is excellent. I like for charging stops, it shows you arrival battery state and departing battery state. Very useful!

After nearly 435,000 miles (700,000 km), I’ve finally retired my 2013 @Tesla Model S. Black Mamba was a great car that got me through my early days in real estate, and so many road trips over multiple states.

@macman222 @ANSR42 Are you using standard Sunnypilot. If so, you might want to try AdventurePilot which has some Longitudinal tweaks that @Lrawsignal made to tighten up Longitudinal performance on Rivians.

comma ai banned cloud based AI company Anthropic this week. Worth noticing, their product never needed the cloud in the first place. The model driving my Model Y right now: → 58MB → 20Hz on a Snapdragon 845 → zero API calls, ever that’s ownership from the driver’s seat.

@gerrylum2 @ANSR42 I’ve switched to pop 2026 and I’ve found it to be better than down to ride which I was using exclusively before. Since enabling pop it has gone over the lines 0 times and is pretty awesome.

At this point if you have a Gen 1 and rely on Driver+ at all on a regular basis, getting @comma_ai is really a no-brainer. Your autonomy experience on Gen 1 will be so much better, it's not funny.

I would only do this with a @comma_ai with that many miles. Driver+ is so inconsistent on when it will/will not work. I had it in on a roadtrip through Pennsylvania late at night in a downpour/low visibility - Driver+ worked flawlessly. As we went through the tunnels on the PA Turnpike, Driver+ annoyingly disengaged. The tunnels were the opposite of the drive 5 minutes prior - very bright lightning, easy to see the lanes, and clear weather.

Just did a 1300 mile road trip from Utah to Southern California. Surprisingly, I was able to use @Rivian's RAN 'supercharging' network the whole way. And 'Driver+' did 90% of my driving for me. (Supervised of course - since it's a level 2 system just like Tesla.) 10/10

@gerrylum2 Me actually. I would trade my Model X for a Y L if they would let me transfer my FSD. Until then, Tesla sales reps are trying to tell me 12mos of FSD is enough or I can just resell it privately.

First big Rivian road trip with the @comma_ai and it has been amazing. On this last leg it was engaged 86% of the drive from Amarillo, TX to Clayton, NM. Nothing crazy happened and it drove exactly how I wanted it to. So chill. Used popv2 model on Sunnypilot.
