@macombs @JohnNaborsShow Nobody's talent always translates to winning win it counts. That's the nature of a single elimination tournament. The term Cinderella was coined for this exactly reason.

@arkrazorbackx Um, no he didn't make the tournament in 2022. I didn't count 2020 because of covid. Don't disagree he's a great recruiter, just doesn't always translate to big wins in the tournament.

@TaninSmithKK Don't disagree but other teams also spent a ton of money and didn't make it to the Final 4. It sucks to not be ranked in top 10 recruiting but only UConn has won it all in last 10 years while ranked in top 10 pre-season recruiting.

@macombs and last season we spent more money than anyone in the country on our roster and got into the tourney as a 7 seed with a round of 32 exit neither situations are up to the standard. this is make or break for Pope this year

I think Kentucky should extend Mark Pope. He’s doing a great job. Better lock him up, lifetime deal would be the best of all. No brainer.

Mark Pope isn’t built for this. He was never qualified for this job to begin with. He’s not going to magically turn into a great coach and recruiter while coaching under one of the biggest microscopes in College athletics. He was set up for failure from the very beginning.
