My last appeal failure had the comment: 'For example, if your app performs triggers and 4 actions within the app, your video should clearly show this.' So I guess this is the Google Play way of clearly communicating this requirement.

Happy to report, MacroDroid - Device Automation is once again a device automation app. I don't think I'll ever know for sure but I believe the video I had to upload had to show at least 4 actions else it doesn't count.

Once again I'm prevented from uploading app updates because apparently I'm breaching the SMS/Call log policy. This policy allows an exclusion for device automation apps. Once again Google Play are unsure that 'MacroDroid - Device Automation" is a device automation app 😭

Happy to say I can now release on Google Play again after resubmitting my policy declaration form and a new video which presumably convinced the reviewer MacroDroid really is an automation app!

@zomgilost It's not a single simple feature it will be everything related to SMS and call handling. Removing this will make the app considerably less functional and greatly annoy 100,000s of users.

This is a screenshot from the Google Play console support section. I would invite anyone to try and email that address and watch it bounce with a response that the email address does not exist. Oh and there option to call you doesn't work either (i tried about 20 times today)

@MrUmberto_ The reality is the Play Store is the only real store on Android in terms of user mass. But of course nothing is off the table if this madness continues...

@macro_droid Why not upload to Samsung store to reach at least some users? The Store has less strict policies.
